The American Legion Post 618 in Willis, TX, is hosting a Blood Drive in partnership with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Post 618 Meeting Hall (13054 FM 1097, Willis, TX 77378).
The drive will run from 10:00 AM to 2:15 PM, with various time slots available for whole blood donations. The primary coordinator for the event is Kimberly Spirit, and appointments can be scheduled through the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center’s donor portal.
The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center is a nonprofit organization that serves as the primary blood provider for Houston and its surrounding communities. Operating 24/7, it supplies blood and blood components to over 170 healthcare institutions across 25 counties in the Texas Gulf Coast, Brazos Valley, and East Texas regions.
Founded in 1975, the center is headquartered in Houston, TX, at 1400 La Concha Lane. It runs various donation programs, including whole blood, platelet, and plasma donations, and encourages donors to "Commit for Life," a long-term initiative to maintain a stable blood supply.
