JROTC Awards

The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) program at Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Texas, is part of the U.S. Army JROTC initiative. Its mission is to motivate young people to become better citizens. The program focuses on leadership development, character education, and student achievement.

Cadets in the program engage in various activities, including lessons on citizenship, leadership theory, wellness, fitness, first aid, geography, and American history. They also participate in co-curricular activities such as military drill competitions, air rifle competitions, and STEM camps.

The program serves students from grades 9 through 12 and is designed to support diverse learners, including those with special educational needs and English language learners. Cadets who complete four years of JROTC are better prepared for college or careers.
